Due to the large number of requests for a demo version of our software we have created one.  This demo is a fully functional version of Wind Loads on Structures 2005 with a few exceptions.  To avoid the common hassles usually inherent to demo versions we have simply "locked" a few of the inputs throughout the program.  Therefore, allowing the user to try out the demo for as long as they wish.  The following is a list of the inputs we have locked.

General Restrictions:

1. All printed reports have “Demo Use Only” on the heading and “Demonstration Copy – Not Valid for Wind Load Design” on the footer.

2. File saving and opening functions are disabled.

3. All calculators are disabled except the Velocity Pressure Calculator.

4. Only the ASCE 7 1998 design standard is used in calculations.

5. Exposure Category locked to “C”.

Restrictions on “Building” Section

1. One wall dimension is locked to 25 feet (7.62 meters).

2. Locked to a maximum addition of one section with one wall dimension locked to 25 feet (7.62 meters) on the section.

3. Locked to a maximum of three component and cladding elements on any building.

4. Building Category locked to “I”.

Restrictions on “Chimney, Tanks, and Similar Structures” Section

1. Minimum Width Locked to 10 feet (3.3 meters).

2. Structure Category locked to “I”.

Restrictions on “Sign” Section

1. Width locked to 8 feet (2.4 meters).

2. Solidity Ratio locked to 100%.

3. Number of supports locked to 2.

4. Minimum width of supports locked to 0.5 feet (0.2 meters)

5. Structure Category locked to “I”.

Restrictions on “Trussed Tower” Section

1. Width locked to 2.5 feet (0.8  meters).

2. Solidity Ratio locked to 60%.

3. Structure Category locked to “I”.

Restrictions on “Dome Structures” Section

1. Diameter locked to 15 feet (4.57 meters).

2. Eave height locked to 10 feet (3.05 meters).

3. Structure Category locked to “I”.
